What is “Swiss Cottage Unisex Sauna”? I have no idea. But I drove past the place a few nights ago up in North London, and the name stood out from the kebab shops and pubs next to it.
The name suggest that it’s a place where men and women can use the sauna together, and do nothing else. That sounds weird, even with London’s standards. Not even in Sweden do we have these kind of establishment, where the sole purpose is to have a sauna.
So I’m confused, and Google doesn’t help much. This is the best description I can find:
“Swiss Cottage Unisex Sauna offer a steam room, sauna and Thai massaging in a calming environment. They are open for 24 hours a day.”
A sauna that’s open 24 hours a day? Combined with Thai massage? I don’t know. I guess I’ll have to bring my swimming trunks and go and have a look.
Ha ha ha, brilliant. It sounds intriguing yet dangerous. Have you been to this colourful establishment or were you writing this post in the third person?

Lived around the corner for one summer, that’s why, but never seen it from inside. If you decide to go though, I’m sure it will have a happy ending…
I’ve been here a few times. It seems super-creepy, but really isn’t. There is a tacky sauna place that is almost always empty save for a couple of usually middle eastern guys. I’ve never seen any sort of co-ed nudity or anything like that. Upstairs they do Thai massages. All the boothes have saloon doors so you couldn’t get away with anything untoward and its all covered to the normalprofessional standard. I used to go when I lived around there because it was a good massage for about 35 quid (as opposed to 70 at my gym). Sorry it isn’t more salacious (though I always did feel like a pervert walking in there).

I’ve been going for years. There’s nothing tacky or seedy about it. It’s all above board - great sauna & steam downstairs and fantastic massage upstairs. If you want a ‘happy ending’ then you should look elsewhere. The only thing you’ll get from Swiss Cottage Sauna is a great massage in a friendly environment.
Maybe Nana’s Massage on Willsden Lane is more what you’re looking for.
