Kindo’s getting noticed

Emerge.se is writing about Kindo, and other similar companies. It’s a good analysis, worth reading (if you’re lucky enough to speak Swedish).

ads on glissers.com

I’ve added text ads to Glissers, mostly because I wanted to learn more about how Google Adsense works. It took me 20 minutes to include the code on the site - amazingly easy to do. Here’s how it looks.

Yes, it hurts to sell out, but I have to put bread on the table.

kindo is warming up

We’re still not open to the world, but now we have a name, an URL, a blog and a private beta version. See blog.kindo.com and www.kindo.com

So thats the end of the secret era, and the start of the kindo era. May it last forever.

Mucho Mas Delivers

Yep, the food was excellent. Pema stuffed herself with two burritos, she just couldn’t get enough.

Eric (one of the founder) looked seriously sleep-deprived though. But that’s the price you pay to bring real burritos to the Londoners.

Mucho Mas, the Best Burritos in the World?

I have’t been there myself yet, so I don’t know if that statement is true. But I think it is, since I invested in the company ;)

And Mike at Techcrunch seems to agree.

Mucho Mas was founded by Dan Houghton and Eric Partakers, good friends from Skype. These guys are among the smartest people I know. Hopefully that translates into tasty Mexican cooking.

I’m going there tomorrow evening, to see if they live up to the hype.

Let Me Pay My Way

I get a little antsy everytime I’m in a queue, and especially when it can be avoided.

One example - how come there’s no paid-for alternatives at passport controls? If I pay £300 for a flight somewhere, I wouldn’t mind paying an extra £5, if it meant I wouldn’t have to spend the usual 30 minutes queuing.

I’m sure lots of people think the same, so there should be a business there… But homeland security doesn’t seem like an industry that’s ripe for competition, unfortunately.
